Equipment records are kept in the KFS Capital Asset Management (CAM) module. Each capital equipment record contains the following information:
- Asset Number
 - Organization Code (department) responsible for custody
 - Acquisition Type Code
 - Asset Status Code
 - Asset Condition
 - Asset Description
 - Asset Type
 - Vendor Name
 - Manufacturer
 - Model Number
 - Serial Number
 - Tag Number (bar-coded UConn tag)
 - Last Inventory Date, Create Date, In-Service Date, and Depreciation Date
 - Total Cost
 - Federal Contribution
 - Asset Location (campus, building, and room number)
 - Organization Inventory Name (custodian of the equipment)
 - Detailed payment information (for capital assets only)
 
- Account and Object Code
 - Posting Date
 - Purchase Order Number
 - Payment Request eDoc or other eDoc used to create the asset record
 
- Depreciation Information
 
- Depreciation Method
 - Depreciable Life
 - Accumulated Depreciation
 - Current Book Value
 
- Equipment Loan Information (if applicable)
 - All Related Capital Asset Documents since the inception of KFS in July, 2012
